Windows 10: Can’t access store and can’t create a new local account

When I try to launch a game that I got on the Microsoft Store, the application will launch but then immediately crash. If I try to launch the game from the store itself, it prompts me to install the game. When I try to install the game, it just gives me error code 0x87AF000B. If I try to uninstall the game, it does nothing. If i try to access the Microsoft Store’s app settings, the settings window will appear then immediately crash. If I go into settings and try to find the Microsoft Store in apps and features, it’s simply not there. The Microsoft Store will not open on any other accounts on my computer other than my main one. I tried making a whole new local account 3 different times, but when I do, it just shows a blank screen where all I can see is my cursor. I’ve tried updating my computer as well. Any tips?

Creating a MS account without losing Local account


Go to https://account.microsoft.com, click Create account and fill the form:





With a Microsoft account you can then use OneDrive and Office Online apps for free. You can also use built-in native Windows apps which require a Microsoft account like Mail, Skype Preview, People, Calendar and download apps from Windows Store.

Using step 5 in the tutorial below should work for you to sign in to the Store with your Microsoft account while staying signed in to Windows with your local account.

Local account installation question

I'm fairly certain that Skip this step was available in 10.0.130 - the workaround in Step 20 (back button) is no longer required.

The currently known, as of 10.0.130, ways to create a Local account sign-in are

• Skip this step at the MS account creation phase
• No Internet connection during the install
• static IP (post# 2 by Fragment) - New (to me anyway)
