Windows 10: Can't add gmail account to windows 10 Calendar app, but it works fine in Mail app

I am able to add and sync my gmail account in the Windows 10 mail app just fine, but, for some reason, it doesn't work on the Calendar app. I've tried adding my account to Calendar using advanced setup and manually inputted the IMAP fields, but it still doesn't work.

I've also tried resetting the app and checking for updates on Windows store, but still none.

Windows 10 Mail App - stop sync automatically Gmail Account

Where did you get that message about mail app isn't supported? And to create application password? Can you post a picture of it?
I'm using gmail account in Mail app with two step verification and all I had to do was confirm password and second step verification.. All went smooth, and I'm getting mails in multiple Windows PCs and phone.

i don't find right now but i search for some article about that, but pretty sure that i read somewhere about that

New experience for Gmail accounts in Windows 10 Mail & Calendar apps

Announcing new features for Windows Insiders with Gmail accounts in the Windows 10 Mail & Calendar apps.

Over the past year we’ve introduced many new features in Windows 10 Mail & Calendar apps for users with Outlook.com accounts—such as easily tracking travel and shipping deliveries, making emails more actionable, helping you easily track your favorite sports events, faster search, and more. We’re now excited to bring these features to our users with Gmail accounts, so you can enjoy the best of what Windows 10 Mail & Calendar have to offer.

We’ll roll out the improved experience gradually to users with Gmail accounts in the Windows Insiders program over the next several weeks. We’d love for you to provide feedback on the experience in this phase. After we’ve incorporated your feedback, we’ll proceed to roll out the updates to all Windows 10 users.

Bringing new features to your Gmail account

Mail & Calendar apps have long supported connecting to and managing your Gmail account. But up until now, some capabilities were only available to those with an Outlook.com or Office 365 email address. With these updates, our latest features will be available for your Gmail account, including Focused Inbox and richer experiences for travel reservations and package deliveries.

To power these new features, we’ll ask your permission to sync a copy of your email, calendar and contacts to the Microsoft Cloud. This will allow new features to light up, and changes to update back and forth with Gmail–such as creation, edit or deletion of emails, calendar events and contacts. But your experience in Gmail.com or apps from Google will not change in any way.

How to get started

The new experience will first be made available to Mail & Calendar users who are part of the Windows Insider program – though not all Insiders will see the new experience on their Gmail account right away. We will expand the rollout gradually over the next few weeks. You’ll know the new experience is available for your account when you are prompted to update your Gmail account settings. If you miss the first prompt, we will remind you again in a few weeks.

We’re excited for bring an improved Mail & Calendar experience to your Gmail account, and welcome your feedback as we fine tune the new experience in the coming weeks. You can provide feedback on this and other Mail & Calendar features at any time by going to Settings> Feedback in the app.

Windows 10 Mail App - stop sync automatically Gmail Account

Hello guys, i hope it's the right place to ask about my problem with windows 10 mail app.

after i read some of the post's here:

but i still not found any answer to my issue.

i use mail app for long time after i move to windows 10.

i tried some of thing i found to do, like: re-install app , delete windows permission in google , re-add account, play with the settings inside the app -- but nothing help!!!

the mail app don't want to sync my gmail automatically , it's work only manually, i don't know if it's matter but i use two step verification.

the interesting think that my outlook account work and update by himself with out any problem.

i think this app need some fix it's work before so why not now?

for testing i try to use mailbird -- work awesome!!

i get the emails on my phone too so it's not google issue -- it's windows 10 issue!!!

what i can do to fix that????

Did you try to reset Mail app? Settings / Apps / select Mail and Calendar, under name select Advanced options and scroll down , click reset.

Gmail is working fine here with Mail app.
