    Can't upgrade to Win 10 cause I can't update Win7 to SP1


    Can't upgrade to Win 10 cause I can't update Win7 to SP1. that about says it. Tried WIndows update many times, tried to upgrade the computer using Win 7 disk to Win 7 with latest files...

    Give me recommendations to get this machine to Windows 10. thanks

    Unable to download files from internet

    I ended up giving up. I did a virgin install of Win7, updated to SP1 then did an update to Win 10. Lost all my programs (backed up my data) but it is working fine now. IMHO the Win 10 update from Win 7 just sucks..... The Win 8.1 update to Win 10 worked
    fine but the Win 7 update causes problems with file access....

    I have read all the articles about win 10 reserve app and then I fixed the problems in my pc but still I can't see this app icon in my taskbar.that means:

    my windows is win7 sp1

    my hardware is prepare for win10

    my windows 7 is actived

    I have downloaded and installed all recomended and important updates in my pc.

    why I can't reserve it???????

    please help me

    SP1 for Windows 7 is not required to upgrade to Windows 10 from the ISO file. It is only required to get Windows 10 to show up in Windows Update.

    Did the USB drive method and ran the setup file.

    Popup: 'Windows 10 Installation failed. ' No codes or anything to proceed further.

    It sounds like your Windows 7 installation is too corrupted to install either SP1 for Windows 7 or upgrade to Windows 10. Looks like it is time to start over with a clean install. Make sure to back up any data you want to keep, because a clean install erases everything.

    Clean Install Windows 10 Directly without having to Upgrade First
