Windows 10: Cortana search box changed to white color

Discus and support Cortana search box changed to white color in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; This just happened to my laptop on upgrading to Pro!     Cortana search box changed to white color

    The fix I posted at 14 above works but the search box keeps reverting to white. I now just display the search icon since I use the Classic Shel search box anyway.

    I have the same issue. Not sure what causes it or fixes it. While changing the region to Gabon might solve the issue, I'm worried that doing so will alter the timezone and display an incorrect time and wrong weather data.
