May 9, 2017—KB4019472 (OS Build 14393.1198) won't install on my computer.

It has tried several times, and it always fails and reverts.

2017-05 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1607 for x64-based Systems (KB4019472)

Failed to install on 05/10/2017.

How can I determine why this is happening so I can fix the issue?

If you have version 1607 installed, then you can get this update via Windows Update or manually via MUC.

This update is not for any other version of Windows 10.

Same for me, it's not being offered by windows update? Got malicious software removal and flash update but not this KB

 

Just to verify, what version of Windows 10 do you guys currently have installed?

If you do have version 1607, then I'm not sure why it didn't come down via Windows Update for you. Luckily, you can manually download and install it.

well im on v1607 build 14393.1198 right now.
But before i was on 14393.1066 and I had no update there only like Scootyboy99 said.
I had to do it manually, not sure why, but everything seems to be fine.

 

I'm not sure why it didn't come down via Windows Update for you. Luckily, you can manually download and install it.

 

Ok thanks - i'm just baffled as to why MS aren't pushing this down windows update like I'd expect

 

It's suppose to be available via Windows Update, but could be done in stages.

 

Ok thanks. It's driving me a bit stir crazy this drip feeding of updates. I prefer to let windows update handle things rather than force the issue manually. Trouble is don't know where I stand. Is there something wrong with my pc / windows update because it's not being offered or finding the KB - or is this intentional behaviour from MS!
