    Update KB4025342 (OS Build 15063.483) fails to install

    So what's wrong here?: Update KB4025342 (OS Build 15063.483) 2017-07 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1703 for x64-based Systems has failed to install multiple times.

    Asus laptop running Windows 10 Home

    Intel i7-2640M CPU

    64-bit operating system, x64 based processor

    8 GB RAM

    All previous MS updates seem to have installed successfully.

    Do we really need to edit the registry key?

    After installing the security updates for CVE-2017-8563, administrators need to set registry key LdapEnforceChannelBinding to enable the fix for the CVE. For more information about setting the registry key, see Microsoft Knowledge Base article 4034879.
