Windows 10: Documents folder location reverts back to defaults after 1809 update

I have my Documents folder relocated to the D: Data drive to save space on my 128Gb SSD drive which is my system drive. I used the Documents folders properties location tab to do this. After the feature update through Windows Update from 1803 to 1809..now under C:\Users the Documents folder has reappeared and its location shows as C:\Users\Myname\Documents.
It seems that in my case 1809 update messed up the way I had relocated my Documents folder to the D: Data drive using the folders properties location tab. I didn't lose any files because they are all still in my Documents folder on the D: Data drive but it looks like it has reset the original Documents folders on the SSD back to their defaults including under This PC and Quick Access..both are now empty and pointing again to the now empty C:\Users\MyName\Documents folder.
Has anyone else experienced this?

I suggest you to Restore to Default the folders and document settings and see if it helps.

Step 1:

Please follow below steps and check if it helps.

• Go to Download folder.
• Right click on the Download Folder and go to Properties.
• In Properties go to Location tab.
• In location Tab Click on Restore Default.

Step 2:

Please follow below steps and check if it helps.

• Go to Documents folder.
• Right click on the Document folder and go to Properties.
• In Properties go to Location tab.
• In location Tab Click on Restore Default.

After performing above steps change the settings as you required and check if it helps.

a. Right-click on the document folder.

b. Click on Properties.

c. Under General Tab check the location.
