Windows 10: Error upgrading to Win10 version 1903

    Error upgrading to Win10 version 1903


    I am having difficulties upgrading my Win10 version 1809 to version 1903 like many other posts in this forum. Basically, the upgrade stucked at 87% and then the pc shut down. When it restarted, it started to roll back the upgrades. The error in the upgrade history is


    0xC1900101 - 0x30018 "An error occurred during the installation of FIRST_BOOT during a SYSPREP_ SPECIALIZE operation"


    The same error happened multiple times when I tried to upgrade by Windows Update or Medial Creation Tool. Also I tried Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth, then Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth with no result. Then I Tried sfc /scannow with no result. All the external devices have been disconnected, firewall/anti-virus software turned off, internet disconnected during the upgrade but nothing helped.


    Attached is the link to the setupact.log/setuperr.log/setupapi.dev.log under Rollback and Pathner folder, as was requested in other posts.

    Local profile issue after upgrading to 1903


    Hi roblinb

    Not listed in the Known.

    Known issues for Windows 10 May 2019 Update version 1903


    As far as Wifi any chance it is Qualcom inside USB adapter, if Qualcom then yes known issue.


    I might create another user (Local) and when if try again see if this issue occurs on both users.

    Would also suggest you run the first 5 steps in this tutorial to see if you have any corruption with current build.

    Use DISM to Repair Windows 10 Image

    I recommend you to upgrade to V1903 via ISO file.
