Windows 10: Error Waking from Sleep

So, just 3 days ago, I encountered a problem with waking my PC from sleep that would go on to occur every single time I try to wake my computer up from sleep. Given that I put my computer to sleep every night, this is a very bothersome issue.


Upon attempting to wake my computer by clicking my mouse, my mouse LEDs turn on, the computer begins to wake with the lights and fans turning on, but unlike what usually happens, my keyboard LEDs do not turn on and my monitor says no input.

After waiting a little bit, clicking my mouse and keyboard to try to get the computer to finish waking up, I realize there is no other option, so I press the reset button on my case. Typically the reset button causes the system to restart without powering down, but this time, after waiting about 5 seconds after pressing the reset button, the computer powers down.

It powers up again a few seconds after, but immediately giving me a beep code. The beep code is continuous long beeps, which is indicative of a memory error.

In hopes that there is no error, I hold down the power button to power down the computer. After it turns off, I turn it on again and everything is fine. The computer turns on from a hibernate file so nothing is lost, there is no memory error, and all is well. At least until the very next time I put it to sleep and try to wake it up.

• What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

Power troubleshooter as an initial troubleshooting. Kindly follow these steps:

• Click on Start.
• Type Troubleshoot, and then press Enter.
• Under Find and fix other problems, click on Power.
• Click on Run the troubleshooter button.
• Follow the onscreen guide.

I suggest you to check which devices are configured to wake up the computer from sleep by following the steps below:

• Right click on Start icon and select Command Prompt (Admin).
• Type the command line below:

Powercfg /devicequery wake_armed

3. Check if the devices (Keyboard, Mouse, Ethernet cable) are listed.

If the system is not going to sleep and going to Hybernate, the only option to wake up is to press the Power button.

Hi, you can disable hibernation if you wish:

This depends what devices are able to wake your PC. You can list these:

Powercfg /devicequery /.......
Description:
Returns a list of devices that meet the specified criteria.

Parameter List:
<QUERYFLAG> Specifies one of the following criteria:

wake_from_S1_supported ....Return all devices that support waking the system
from a light sleep state.
wake_from_S2_supported ....Return all devices that support waking the system
from a deeper sleep state.
wake_from_S3_supported ....Return all devices that support waking the system
from the deepest sleep state.
wake_from_any ......................Return all devices that support waking the system
from any sleep state.
S1_supported List devices supporting light sleep.
S2_supported List devices supporting deeper sleep.
S3_supported List devices supporting deepest sleep.
S4_supported List devices supporting hibernation.
wake_programmable List devices that are user-configurable to wake
the system from a sleep state.
wake_armed List devices that are currently configured to
wake the system from any sleep state.
all_devices Return all devices present in the system.
