  1. How do I delete a second Microsoft Account - I created a new Account a few months ago

I created a second Microsoft Account several months ago, thinking I would use it for my rental properties. However, this Laptop I am using right now, will not accept my Primary Microsoft Account.

When I started Windows 10 on my Laptop, in the lower left of the screen, I can see the second Microsoft Account's email address.

The Microsoft Community and Microsoft Answers has been really helpful. I don't know where else I would go for help.

I bought all three of my PCs from Dell. I wish I had bought my new desktop from Best Buy. Then I could bring the PCs there.

    Thank you,

    Dayhiker4k

    :)

    Deleting hotmail accounts?

I think it'll just get put down as avaliable so another person can create an account with that name. At least I think that was how it used to work. I have a Hotmail account that I use about once a year (don't have any Live stuff connected to it either) or so and it has never been removed. But I think I could create a new account with the same name and it would be avaliable.

    I think.

EDIT: No, I cannot create a new account with the same name. It was at least six months ago I used it last time.

Change Microsoft Account Details in Administrator Account

Hi Daryl, welcome to the Ten Forums.

It's quite easy in fact, simply switch the account in question first to a local account, then switch back to a Microsoft account, this time using your wife's MS account credentials.

    Tutorials:
Notice that before doing this you need to remove the new additional MS account on the PC, the one you created with her credentials. Windows allows only one user account for each email address, if the new account exists you cannot switch the original administrator account to an MS account using the same email address.
