Windows 10: How to switch email accounts for the same user?

My windows (hotmail) account was recently hacked, and is irretrievable. I have created a new windows account, but my windows 10 user is associated with that old account that I no longer have access to. How do I change the email of this account?

You have to reset the phone to change the MS account

If you have an SD card you can backup your contacts and messages to the SD. Restore after the reset.

So when you created the 2nd email account, it had to have placed a 2nd shortcut to it on your START screen. I have 4 email accounts and find it relatively easy to open each account separately and can switch between them quickly particularly if they are
all opened initially.

Although I have not used it, you can link your email inboxes by pressing settings on one of you email accounts.

You can switch to a local account and then back to Microsoft account using the new email address.

To login to a Local Account I need the password to my email account which I don't have. ("First, we need to verify you current password.")
