Windows 10: Is it possible to delete Skype profile without losing my Microsoft account?

I don’t use Skype anymore and I’m trying to get rid of all my social media profiles. But I’m finding it impossible to delete a Skype account without losing my Microsoft account.

Basically I still use Office and I have my Xbox One profile tied to my account. And I really don’t want to lose those purchases.

Is there a way I can delete my Skype account without losing all my Microsoft purchases? Does MS allow users to transfer store purchases to a separate account?

How do you delete a skype account?

Is it possible to delete a skype account? Its become really frustrating.

I have a Outlook email id (work related). It is used as a common company email id where all the contacts are stored. Its not used to send & receive emails. The issue now is that Microsoft has gone an created a random skype name & we cant delete it or change
anything in the profile. I can log in to my Microsoft account, click skype button it logs into skype Ok. but if I try to change the profile it again asks for password. If I enter my Microsoft account password it keeps saying wrong password.

Highly unlikely, but is it possible to delete a skype account without deleting the email itself.

Go to https://account.microsoft.com, click Create account and fill the form:





With a Microsoft account you can then use OneDrive and Office Online apps for free. You can also use built-in native Windows apps which require a Microsoft account like Mail, Skype Preview, People, Calendar and download apps from Windows Store.

Deleting old MS account profile photos

Are you referring to the local account profile picture? If you are, there's no automatic method of deleting profile picture. However, you can still remove unwanted profile pictures through
Windows Explorer. Follow the steps below:

• Select the Start button.
• Copy and paste the path below and then press Enter.
  • %appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\AccountPictures
• Delete the unwanted profile picture.
