    Will Windows Update Troubleshooter itself be updated?

    FYI - KB4041691 would fail to install.


    KB4023057 was subsequently installed.


    KB4023057 then successfully installed.




    This is why I suspect, and hope, that an update similar to KB4023057 and KB4022868 (described below) is in the offing and will save me the chore of manually resetting the Windows Update components.
    Or am I out to lunch on this issue?

    So called update KB4023057 kills my internet. How to stop it from downloading?

    Yes there is NO KB4023057 because, as I have explained if you chose to read my issue, it is an app, NOT an update. This means it will not appear as an update, cannot be stopped via a service or the wsshowhide.diagcab app.

    Yes, I am on 1607.

    I shall try the 1703 upgrade. Hopefully, it wont kill my bluetooth as 1709 does.

    Nothing anywhere on the internet ? Well, put KB4023507 into google search and you will see a number of entries. Like those following. If not a legitimate MS update, then is must be a virus disguised as an update which peeps have been getting from July 2017.
    It is mentioned in this forum as well as MS.com
