Lost Coloring When Login To Windows 10

I have Windows 10 with nVidia graphic card (680 Boost Ti) that has been working just fine for all these years. I was working within my default browser (Firefox) and accidentally hit multiple keys (I think a combination of Windows key, Ctrl, and bunch of others I can't figure out for the life of me)... but what happened was that I lost coloring when I'm logged in (see attachment).

I know it's not the monitor that went bad all of a sudden, and here is why. When I lock the screen, the default Windows screen image comes up and it is grayed, just like when I'm logged in, but when I hit the space key to enter password, the image gets its coloring back, but when I finally is logged in, everything in Windows, doesn't matter what application, doesn't have a coloring.

I reinstalled my graphic card's driver hoping it would solve the issue. I went through Color Management, but didn't see anything out of ordinary.

Does anyone know how to fix this issue, or reset whatever setting values to default? This is really annoying. Not sure why Windows allows such mock up to even happen.

    :)

  2. lost colors after update windows 10 on 19 january 2018?

lost colors after update windows 10 on 19 january 2018?

I cannot get colors on Windows 10 and I uninstalled the Device Manager - Display drivers and Restarted - and still no colors.

This is extremely annoying when you need to work and Windows 10 fails like this.

Please give a fix now - time is money.

Windows 10 Displays Only in Greyscale

This just happened - suddenly windows has lost all color -- everything is displayed in shades of grey. Weirdly, the login/lock screen is displayed in full color (so we can rule out the monitor).

I've tried restarting to no avail. Also tried reinstalling graphics drivers (AMD R9 390).

    Brink,

Thank you. That resolved the issue (I can see color now). I'm wondering what key combination could have turned this on!

    You're most welcome. *Smile

    Win + Ctrl + C
    will toggle Color Filters on/off.
