Windows 10: Microsoft Account Creation Process Question

I have just done a reset of Windows 10 Home. During the reset process, Windows 10 updated to version 1909 or whatever is the most current version. I did a full reset where I had Windows clean out all of my personal files so I could start fresh with my computer needs. When I went through the Windows setup process, I created a new account with both an email and phone number. Everything in the reset process appeared to proceed as normal. After the reset process was completed and Windows 10 was up and running, I tried to log in to Microsoft with the account that I created during the Windows setup process. However, when I entered my email and password, Microsoft said my account did not exist. I ended up having to create the account online. The account that I created on Microsoft's web site was the same as what I thought I created on Windows during the setup process. My question is did I do something incorrectly in creating the account on Windows 10, was the account that I created on Windows 10 just for the operating system, or was there a possible malfunction during the Windows setup process?

Local account installation question

I'm fairly certain that Skip this step was available in 10.0.130 - the workaround in Step 20 (back button) is no longer required.

The currently known, as of 10.0.130, ways to create a Local account sign-in are

• Skip this step at the MS account creation phase
• No Internet connection during the install
• static IP (post# 2 by Fragment) - New (to me anyway)

 

Change Microsoft Account Details in Administrator Account

It's quite easy in fact, simply switch the account in question first to a local account, then switch back to a Microsoft account, this time using your wife's MS account credentials.

Notice that before doing this you need to remove the new additional MS account on the PC, the one you created with her credentials. Windows allows only one user account for each email address, if the new account exists you cannot switch the original administrator account to an MS account using the same email address.
