  2. Tabs feature in windows file explorer

Not yet. Redstone 2 is expected to have a file explorer overhaul, but still it is unclear that it might have tab feature. Feedback's are always welcomed by MS:

Well, what do you know... Softpedia finally posts some real "news". However, they felt the need to color it with stupid commentary and recommending an app that isn't fully compatible with Windows 10 (clover). They're such idiots.

Well I would be for the modern app, just not a crappy modern app. Part of the complaint in Windows 8.x was the many touch-centric interfaces and how badly they sucked on the traditional keyboard/mouse interface. I don't think it would be a good idea to make File Explorer more touch centric across the board as we could end up where we were with Windows 8.

Ideally, universal apps are more dynamic, so it should play better in both worlds. (Noticed I did say ideally.)

That said, their new development platform so far leaves something to be desired over the legacy winapi. Whatever they do, I hope they don't screw either the touch users or the desktop users.

I would think that if this does occur that it will show up in an insider build way before Redstone.. and they didn't say which one?? RS1 or RS2??

If it will give some 'wait operation has timed out' each time I open a folder, like our notorious Photos app, no thanks.

If they make File Explorer better than Free Commander XE, then I'll be interested. Otherwise...

Hmm! I wonder why they are doing this. If I remember correctly I was told very few people wanted this.

  14. Didn't MS shut down the feedback/requests site?
    I can't find it.

File Explorer tabs was the #4 request in October 2014.
