No, The slow ring will get the updates after they have been tested by users in the fast ring.

There's an interesting new checkbox in 10122 "Delay Upgrades" or something like that.. it has a link for more info but it goes to the default windows page.. so no idea what it does, or what "Delay" means.

Microsoft may offer a servicing branch that doesn't add new features, but security updates will be mandatory regardless.

The delay is possibly for the pro version from what I read. They said pro can delay updates and be able to install at your convince. Even some small business can't be bothered with an updated during business hours. Look at gas stations in most locations they are open 24/7. Like I said somebody will come up with a registry fix that will allow home user to delay updates. One easy way to delay installations of some updates is to enable metered connection.

The other issues I have is how big the upgrades will be, especially if there going to be around 3 gb each month. That could take me forever to download on a low high speed connection.

We this last build, I had trouble with windows updates, they keep failing but they finally did get installed.

No, that will be through Windows Update for Business, which will be a portal business users can log onto to control which machines are updated, when, and what not.

This is different, and it was interesting because of the wording which specifically said Delay "Upgrades" and not "Updates".

  6. Settings > Update & security > Advanced options > Get Insider Preview builds. If you are receiving insider builds there will be a fast ring slow ring option. If your not receiving insider builds, it will just say Get Started. If your not receiving insider builds you will only get a new build when a new build is released to consumers.
