    I' so confused I don't know what to do, so I figured i'd contact you. I have two desktops:a WIndows 10 Pro 1903 b Windows 10 Home 1903

    I have been trying to use onedrive & onenote but i am having a significant problem with the microsoft password. It seems to have something to do with the two PC.

    This morning i boot both m. Both have the cloud icon displayed with a red x showing indicating that I am not logged in.this does not surprise me -last night i had to recover my password so many times that Windows locked me out until today because I had exceeded the number of times that I changed my password. But this is a new day, so it should be OK.


    Using PC a, I click the cloud icon and a popup window says that One Drive needs my help - I have to sign in to get it syncing. I press the blue Sign in button and the and the Microsoft OneDrive sign in window is displayed <- parker_dave@*******.com is shown below that then Enter Password and the line for Password' a link "Forgot Password" and the Sign in button..

    I enter the last password that I had used the same one that i was locked out on press Sign in and the message changes to say that the password is incorrect with options 'Reset it now' or 'Forgot password' links, and a space to change the password. I select Forgot Password and the Verify your identity opens. I select the radio button to use my phone number, enter the last 4digits of my phone # but the password form stops everything with he message i got yesterday - that is problem #1

    Problem#2 is if my password has failed and i get to the form where I can get a new password and it is successful and I can log in using the new password parker_dave******** one drive , now i have to transfer from PCb to PCa. However, PCb's cloud icon still has a red x. while pca's icon is blue.

    it also gives me the message that i have to sign in in order to get syncing going. If i try to use the new password it fails, I suppose it should, if the drive isn't in sync but what should i do in this situation?

  2. Windows 10 - OneDrive

    Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

    If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.

    Remove account

    I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
    To delete an account, follow these steps:
    1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
    2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

    Doing the steps below to install the latest version of OneDrive may be able to help.

    1. Download and install the latest version of OneDrive that's rolling out with the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update.
    2. Restart your computer.
    3. After your computer restarts, select the Start button, search for “OneDrive”, and then select the OneDrive desktop app.
    4. When OneDrive Setup starts, enter your personal account, or your work or school account, and then select Sign in.
