Option to set up an exact time for doing defrag on hard drive?

My friend I have another question. This doesn't have relation to the topic but I would like to know if there is some option to set up an exact time for doing Defrag in your hard drive. I mean in the options only appears " daily, weekly and monthly" but it doesn't tell me much information. I don't know in which time or under what conditions may apply defragmentation process. I would like to set up an exact time just like windows 7 but I don't know where to find it or if even exists for windows 10. I may appreciate your help again. Thank you *Smile

    :)

  2. N91 8GB defragment hard disk

    Hi indra,

I've had the 8GB version for over a month now, and I've never had a "hanging" problem.

I hadn't tried the defragmenting option (I'm doing it right now), but I've seen the scanning hard drive message a couple of times when I boot up.

When doing the defragmenting I can hear the Hard Drive working if I put the phone to my ear. Do you hear it working also?, maybe it has hung again.

Try scandisk and then try defrag, scandisk should fix any corruptions while defrag will move file blocks so that they are faster to access.

Windows 10 running defrag says my Raid Drive is SSD

    My system

Boot Drive is SSD which defrag show as a SSD

Drive D is a set of Raid drives which defrag shows as a SSD

Drive E is a set of Raid drives which defrag shows as Hard disk drive

Drive F is an SSD drive that is used to accelerate Drive D defrag shows as SSD

This is the exact same set-up I used with Windows 8.1 and all the drives were correctly shown as the right kind of drive.

I suspect that having Drive F to accelerate Drive D is the problem though it was not a problem in Windows 8.1. Why would they introduce a new bug in Windows 10?

Running WinSat formal had no effect on this issue.

Option to set up an exact time for doing defrag on hard drive?

I believe the best you can get is to set a time for your Automatic Maintenance - Change Settings in Windows 10 - Windows 10 Forums since that seems to be the schedule according to this,
