Windows 10: Photo viewer is garbage

What the heck Microsoft, working with windows 10 is like pulling teeth. I think half my job is just trying to manage this garbage system, I find myself very nonproductive in my actual work. Anyway, the photo viewer sucks, I scroll in on photos and when I scroll out, I am no longer able to scroll to the next photo. The little arrow bottom is supposed to pop up when I hover the cursor over it but it doesn't Unless I sit there and repeatedly click on the edge of the photo until finally it registers.


On a side note I have always defended windows against mac. Unless there are some drastic improvements between now and the next time I need a new comp, I will be switching.

How to get rid of raw file support in windows photo viewer?






I have downloaded this, and it did not work; photo viewer is not in the list of programs in Open With or Default App. I used option 2 step 3, followed by step 5 to 9.

Thanks! I tried it, but it doesn't seem to be working for me. I'm sure it's probably something I did on my end....

I tried the 'undo' but photo viewer was still there after I did that. I did step #3 again and it's still the same. I can still rearrange, but can't view in that order. I don't see the photo viewer listed twice under 'open with'.

Any insights? Thanks!
