  2. Windows 10 dialog box pops up in the wrong monitor

I want to keep the dialog boxes on the monitor in which the software they were created from, yet they keep popping up on the main monitor. I drag the software over and then take my wireless keyboard and mouse over to that monitor to get work done. When
the input dialog box pops up on the "main" monitor and not the monitor I am working with, it is a hassle. What is the solution?

preload.js seems to be a JavaScript library that lets you manage and co-ordinate the loading of assets and data.

    Do two things at first:

    1. Check for it or anything related to it in startup.

    • Right click on the taskbar and click on "Task Manager" in the context menu.
    • It will open Task Manager with "Processes" tab selected. Click on the "Startup" tab.
    • Select them all one by one and click "Disable" at the bottom right corner.
    • Disable everything there other than the antivirus.
See how it goes. Let us know.

    2. Scan your system for adware. Use ADWCleaner for this purpose.

    3. Also scan for any possible Malware. Download and install Safe mode and scan the entire computer with it.

Hey there, i'm not sure if you fixed this yet but i seemed to have found the issue.

After opening the Task Manager, I was able to see the .exe that was trying to open so i right-clicked to open file destination. Lo and behold it opened up in my uTorrent folder and it almost looked like some kind of update or something. Rather than installing, I simply *tried to delete it.

It then said that the file was open in "WebHelper" so I again opened the Task Manager and closed that.
Then it let me delete the file it kept trying to install or toy with or whatever.

    Hope this helped.

Thanks a lot! This was the perfect fix for me as well. I was wondering why I kept getting the tag.imonomy download script all of a sudden. It got worse last night, when an automated message kept playing on my computer. Something to the effect of my computer being infected, a female voice, and me needing to download software to remove whatever malware was on it. It was an annoying message that kept repeating itself over and over. Had to mute my desktop and came online to see what the issue was. Turns out, I was running uTorrent in the background, so I am going to assume that was the curlprit. Thanks again!

Because it is for GeneS who asked the question. If you have any issue, start your own thread other than posting in others ones.

That would help you to get specific help.

  14. Hi, I work for imonomy and we are looking into this issue. It would really help us develop a fix for this if someone could either send us the preload.js file you are being prompted to download or tell me which site you were on when this prompt came up? This discussion came up elsewhere and one of the fixes was pretty much as described here along with changing your BitTorrent client. Take a look here: Pop-up titled keeps running. Screenshots included. : windows

I am not being rude on you. In this thread my concern is only the thread starter. I posted for him. And I will wait for his reply only. If my post does not work for him, I will suggest him for the next possible steps.

If you have any issue, same or different, start your own thread. Dont jump in the other ones threads with a notion that some other instruction does not work for you. You will get proper advise in your thread. Two issues may look same; but there may be huge differences based on the hardware/software environment of the different computers.

For windows 7 users, this is the proper place to get help: Windows 7 Help Forums

Anyway, it may be a standalone malware/adware or it may be some sort of malware/adware integrated with the browser. So malware cleaner and adware cleaners are also the "must to follow" steps.

If it is a standalone one, cleaning startup will stop it. But it is a browser integrated thing; then it will need additional steps.
