Windows 10: Remove store from taskbar

Hi, I am looking to disable the store from the taskbar in Windows 10. I found a local group policy for Windows 8 but it didn't seem to work in Windows 10. This is for business so I don't want the store pinned to the taskbar. Thanks for any help!

Hi!

Try to pin store app to taskbar from the "All apps" menu. If Icon appears on taskbar, then remove that blank launcher. That is all to strange how just the store app icon is blank.

Maybe go to Taskbar and Start menu properties and select use small icons on taskbar >apply<, then switch it back. I know I saw a few updates for the store app. Are you up to date?

You said when opening the Store there was a message ' You'll need a new app to open this ms-windows-store' which means the Store is being blocked. There is no way I know of to remove the Windows Store from the operating
system. It can only be removed from the taskbar at the bottom of your screen. Programs (apps) like Solitaire can be removed from the computer.

If the startup programs are disabled, and the Store still has that message when you try to open it, then the problem is beyond me.

 

Just right click and unpin it.

 

I am looking to remove it automatically when the user logs in for the first time.
