    upgrading build 10240

    Hi , I have installed windows 10 build 10240 on my surface pro 3 , now after the lunch of windows 10 , do I have to upgrade it to the last version by ISO file or not ? please note that I have installed all updates that released for build 10240 .

    PC Reset will not keep my Windows 10 activated?

    Hi there!

    I've upgraded my Windows 8.1 Pro (activated with DreamSpark key) to the
    Windows 10 Build 10162 and then to the latest Build 10240.

    Now, I want to do PC reset. To complete that, I'll need a installation media, so I've already downloaded ESD of Build 10240 and converted to ISO.

    Will my PC stay activated after the reset? Will my PC stay activated when I upgrade to RTM and do clean install via ISO when it's available?

    It is just be sure to choose 32-bit or 64-bit depending on if you have 32-bit or 64bit windows, if upgrading.

    As far as I know, at the moment, If you do the free upgrade or download an ISO via the Media Creation Tool, it will be 10240. Once you upgrade and activate, you can opt in to receive insider builds. Once you do that you'll get 10525.
