    Skype messages not sending

    Skype endlessly says "sending..."

    Sign in to the Skype application.

    Go to one of your Skype contact’s messaging field.

    Type in the command “/dumpmsnp”and send it as a message.

    Type in the command “/MSNP24”and send it as a message.

    Sign out of the Skype application and then sign back in.

    Go again to the messaging field of any of your Skype contacts and Type in the command “/remotelogout” and send it as a message.

    Are you using Wireless or Wired network?

    Have you tried signing out then signing in again?

    Open Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & features

    Scroll down to Skype

    Select it

    Click Advanced options

    Click Reset

    Restart

    Check the Store for updates

    If the problem persists, I suggest you install Skype Classic:

    Please follow the steps below on how to download the classic Skype.

    Log on to Skype | Communication tool for free calls and chat

    Click on Downloads

    Click on the dropdown from the blue button:

    Click on Get classic Skype.

    I would also try running Skype diagnostics on your account:
