Discus and support Snip and sketch does not save snips or sketches. in Windows 10 Customization to solve the problem; Downloaded the 1809 version of windows 10, no problems except that the new "Snip and sketch" app doesn't save anything.     Snip and sketch does not save snips or sketches.


    Downloaded the 1809 version of windows 10, no problems except that the new "Snip and sketch" app doesn't save anything.

    Get a message telling me " Something went wrong" all of the time.


    The app will not allow me to change permission to access pictures either. Did reset it on the advanced app and features page, but that doesn't work either.

    Managed to uninstall it with the help of Ccleaner and downloaded it again from the microsoft store, with the same result.


    Looks like a great app, if only it would let me save the results. Anybody else has this problem, or a fix?

    The Screen Sketch app was first introduced in Windows 10 build 17661.

    Screen Sketch lets you quickly annotate screenshots, photos and other images with your pen, touch, or mouse and save, paste or share with other apps.

    Starting with Windows 10 Insider Skip Ahead build 18219, Screen Sketch app has been updated to version 10.1807.2286.0 and renamed to Snip & Sketch.

    The new version adds the ability to delay a snip up to 3 or 10 seconds. Under the New menu, you can select to "Snip now", "Snip in 3 seconds", or "Snip in 10 seconds".

    It seems...

    snips will only automatically paste into S&S UI by way of the S&S Menu or S&S jump lists...

    UNLESS...

    you have Notifications for S&S enabled, then, if you've snipped by way of Win+Shift+S, or other, you can then paste it in S&S UI by clicking on the banner...

    S&S will populate jump lists if you select files and Open with... S&S:

    I had the same problem, the app doesn't tell you but for it to save you need to give the app permission to access the picture folder.

    Go to > Settings > Privacy > Under App Permissions in the left column go to Pictures > Enable Snip & Sketch permission.

    They have to address this and let the app tell you it needs permissions to save..
