    Snip & Sketch: Avoid new window opening after having done screenshot and clicking "new"


    Hello everybody,


    I am using Snip&Sketch and would like to have the same functionality as in Snipping Tool that an existing window of a screenshot is replaced when I click "new" instead of a new window opening. Is this possible somehow?

    I want to make a screenshot of Snip & Sketch, but when I follow the instructions below, nothing will happen.

    Check out the delay timer in the Snip & Sketch application:

    Open the Snip & Sketch app.

    Click the downward arrow next to the New button in Snip & Sketch and make your selection.

    snips will only automatically paste into S&S UI by way of the S&S Menu or S&S jump lists...

    UNLESS...

    you have Notifications for S&S enabled, then, if you've snipped by way of Win+Shift+S, or other, you can then paste it in S&S UI by clicking on the banner...

    S&S will populate jump lists if you select files and Open with... S&S:

    It works for me in 17763.55 with Snip & Sketch 10.1807.2286.0. After the delay the screen darkens to say it's ready for you to select an area.

    Do you literally mean you want to make a screen shot of the Snip & Sketch app itself? If so, you can open a second instance and use that to make a snip the first.
