  1. Space on System Reserved E

I keep getting every few minutes a warning that I am out of disk space on system reserved E. I have seen on the page ( I don't know what to call it ), but the icon for system reserved E shows a complete red line, it's full. I don't know how to get rid of the problem and get disk space back. In trying to find an answer, I have been reading one post after another on other sites. One was to defragment things and I tried to do this with system E but the computer would not do it. Please help a non-computer person.

    :)

  2. Windows 10 version 1607 update won't install

My error message is that Windows cannot update the system reserve partition. Disk manager shows a volume E, with file system RAW with 0 capacity and 0 free space. There are also 2 unnamed volumes of 100 and 450MB each.

content from other computers - upgraded pc?

If Zune is not considering your phone as a guest, then this 3.44GB of reserved space is normal is there for apps and other general system stuff. Unfortunately, even setting reserved space to as as low as 1% won't make it that space any smaller. 3.4GB is
as small as I've seen reserved space be.

    Space on System Reserved E

I would just remove the drive letter from the system reserved partition. There is no need to have a drive letter assigned to it and no need to monitor the free space on it nor Defrag or optimize it.

Only the first three steps here:
Disk Management - How to Post a Screenshot of - Windows 10 Forums

Then right click on the system reserved partition with the drive letter E:. Select change drive letter. Highlight the E: and click remove. I'm not at a Windows 10 computer right now, but I believe that is close enough to the procedure for you to be able to figure it out Space on System Reserved E :).

  7. thank you, I will try.------Oh, no! What did I do? Please tell me I didn't do anything to ruin the computer. I found the disk management page but it did not look like the illustration in the link so I started again. This time I clicked on disk, something, I'd have to go back and right click on the windows icon again to get the correct name for you but it had something to do with disks. Anyway, this time I got a page that looked just like the illustration in the link. I found the system reserved E box and right clicked on it. I got a pop-up with several choices. I chose to delete it and the box that popped up said operation could not be completed because something, some label, was invalid. I right clicked again and this time chose something about allocating everything. I said "yes" to unallocate and now everything in reserved E is unallocated. 101mb is unallocated! The blue line separating the different boxes has now turned grey. What did I do????

  9. You have me scared to death. I must not have applied anything. I ran a troubleshooter for hardware and the computer said it fixed something. I had to turn the computer off to allow the fix to work. The computer did come back on and I am now reading my mail.
