  1. Update Issue's With Windows 10

I have a bit of unique situation with my windows 10 updates, that is causing huge issue for us.

I am utilizing my pc/'s in a laboratory workplace to operate sensitive equipment, that is used to manufacture dental prosthesis, such as 5 axis cnc milling machines, 3d scanners, 3d printers etc, this equipment is all operating threw the pc and camming / design software.

Unfortunately windows 10 updates are detrimental to the set up. If a windows 10 update is run, several crucial connections cease can not establish connection and operations to our hardware and certain software's stop functioning, which is vital to our daily workflow.

We are only a small laboratory but very busy with clients relaying on us, so when an update happens and the system crashes it is a huge issue until we get it up and running again.

    Due to this of course windows auto updates are turned off. However last night and this has happened before I found an interrupted and failed milling, as well as no software or connections functioning, so naturally checked the update history and found the following;

    Definition Updates

Security Intelligence Update for Windows Defender Antivirus - KB2267602 Version 1.311.11.0

Security Intelligence Update for Windows Defender Antivirus - KB2267602 Version 1.309.1622.0

When I go to Uninstall Updates there is no sign of this update anywhere.

When I go to recovery to revert updates there is no option to roll back.

So my question is, how do I force windows to never do these types of updates, it seems no matter how I turn it off, or assure auto update anything is on, it will still do some kind of sneaky update that ruins my life.

Furthermore, why on earth does it not show up in uninstall updates, but shows in update history?
Why do I have no option to revert or roll back to yesterdays version of my pc?

I know that the updates do something to all our drivers which is what cases equipment connection failure, and something to do with COMS.

I now have to get in contact with the software engineers from Germany and italy to fix this, which is up to a 48 hour delay, so I will be working all weekend. All because I can't decide myself to disable windows updates.

    :)

  2. New install Windows 10 (issue solved)

It's good that you're not experiencing any issues. Unfortunately many folks are, a quick Google search will show the same info im offering the OP.

    Heres a couple examples:

    Here

    Here

It's basically what I mentioned above, small issues here and there ,but nothing to end your day.. for the most part.

I know it's anecdotal, but for my experience 95% of the time it's perfectly fine. The issues I've run into wouldn't be enough for me to roll back , but they would be enough (had I not installed it yet) ,to avoid it for another couple weeks which is why I'm suggesting it to the OP

    Thanks,

The Users list compared to the Profile list you posted earlier tell me there is not an issue with Users (a known issue where there is a profile in the list, but not actual User folder).
