    windows november update

Have the same issue with the same model PC. I have tried the ISO method also, it fails just like the windows update version although you get an error that helpfully says "something happened". I am trying to do an upgrade install not a start from scratch
    install.

    Event log reports:

Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x80070003: Upgrade to Windows 10 Home, version 1511, 10586.

Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x8024200D: Upgrade to Windows 10 Home, version 1511, 10586.

Upgrade to Windows 10 Home, version 1511, 10586 failed to install.

What source are you downloading it from? Easiest method to get the file is Tech Bench:
    Tech Bench

Easiest way to both download and create a USB flash drive is Media Creation Tool:
Windows 10 ISO Download - Windows 10 Forums

Option two in the above tutorial except on step 7 select USB flash drive and have an 8gb USB flash drive available. The flash drive you make can be used to upgrade Windows 7/8/8.1/10 to Windows 10 version 1511 and can also be used to boot from and clean install Windows 10.
