Why Hasn't This Feature Been Implemented Yet?

Please somebody tell Microsoft about this feature, even though it is no longer 'considered' as a very high priority, yet does happen from time to time on rare occasions:

Explorer.exe crashes and your File Explorer windows that were open, all vanish. (All your programs stay open which is good)

But when Explorer.exe crashes, it should remember which File Explorer windows were open and where they were located physically on the screen, and re-open them! This would be helpful when you need to manually restart Explorer.exe too! It's such a simple idea that still hasn't been implemented yet.

Also, as an extra added bonus:
An option to remember the currently open File Explorer windows for when you need to Shut Down or Restart your computer.
After your computer loads up, your windows load up from where you left off in their same exact position on the screen!

WOW that's an amazing idea, don't you agree?

    *Smile *Smile *Biggrin

    *092

(you see? the first two smiley face twins think it's great, yet the third one thinks it's AMAZING! But then the bro under those three is looking at Mr. AMAZING and is all like bring it down a notch bro, looking at him all like "Come on, you're too excited, it's a great idea... well... just kidding, it's actually a SPECTACULAR idea!")

    LoL at the smilies. *Tongue

    :)

    contact groups in Windows 10

My understanding is that it hasn't been implemented yet and MS are 'working on' adding a groups feature to Mail/People apps but a timeline for it has not been provided.

C'mon Microsoft, its time to get this feature out to your customers.

    App preferences on Asha 501

This option was introduced with the 11.2 update. The feature hasn't been implemented yet. It might be of some use in future updates when you will be able to replace the default apps.

I downloaded the Feedback Hub app, and sent it through there. I "Formalized" my message from above and sent that in =)

Something to consider is that this is a classic way to enter a crash feedback loop. If whatever you did causes the crash, and then reopening the windows causes it to crash again, it can just loop like that.

What's more, imagine a problem where explorer crashes when you try to close the windows. You would never be able to "reset" to a point because every time you tried to close a window, explorer would crash and re-open it.

    First, set the following in Folder Options;

then, next time Explorer crashes, immediately press Ctrl+Alt+Del, sign out then sign back in to see if it will restore any previously opened windows.

Mystere: I apologize if my post confused you, you took it in a completely different direction. No crash loop. Nothing intense. Just when Explorer.exe is closed down or is terminated, then it would be nice to reload the File Explorer windows again.
dalchina: Good suggestion, I do Hibernate sometimes, but look at the case when you Must restart the computer (for Windows Updates for example).
Edwin: YES!! That is actually exactly half of my solution! I never knew that option existed there! I don't know how I could've missed that!! It actually worked! I opened random File Explorer windows, logged off and on, and they all loaded up again. Same thing with Shutting Down and Starting Up! BUT the other half should also have been included in that by Microsoft, darn! I forcefully terminated Explorer.exe and loaded it up using Task Manager, but in this scenario, the File Explorer windows never loaded up =/
But thanks for that suggestion, I turned that thing on. I want to see how my subconscious mind will like this option for the next few weeks, and see if it is actually a good idea to have enabled. Thanks so much for that!
