Windows 10: Windows 10 1903

Hi, I updated to Windows 10 1903 from version 1809 which I have since gone back to because of the following problems. My computer is a desktop computer and my modem is connected by cable to it. The issue I had was that I had lost full internet connectivity. Some sites I could get too, I could get at my emails either through Thunderbird or Windows Mail. On running the Windows troubleshooter on my internet connection status and the network adaptor I had two errors Cannot connect to the DNS server and DNS server not responding. I typed about not connecting to the DNS server into google and got quite a few ways how to resolve this like flushing the DNS etc by using command prompts in CMD interface. This fixed one of the issues but not the other. I eventually gave up with 1903 and went back to 1809 and now have no issues. I did read that there is an issue with WiFi connectivity but the wouldn't affect me as I have said above my modem is cable connected. Anyway, my tablet and cell phone could still connect to the internet.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Local profile issue after upgrading to 1903

Known issues for Windows 10 May 2019 Update version 1903


As far as Wifi any chance it is Qualcom inside USB adapter, if Qualcom then yes known issue.


I might create another user (Local) and when if try again see if this issue occurs on both users.

Would also suggest you run the first 5 steps in this tutorial to see if you have any corruption with current build.
