  3. Windows 10 Fall Update Threshold 2 now available

There's some confusion in this topic, as it comes over to Windows 10 users.

The media are stating that Threshold 2 is already released (or being rolled out) to the public, not just to Insiders, as of 12th November.

Is this true? Or is this press speculation?

  5. I just completed the install. I am an insider on the fast ring. first thing I noticed is that the water mark in the lower right corner no longer is there. How can I check to see what is on the system and what build number is really there?

    Type "winver" in start search.

A slightly quicker way is to open a command prompt
    *Start
    type cmd <enter>
or right click *Start and select command prompt

So does that mean no isos or not being able to use the media creation tool? If so, that kind of defeats the purpose of allowing windows 7 & 8.1 keys with this update.

Don't know where they got that idea from - they probably made it up. I bet you 10c there is an iso. Otherwise as you say it would be a bit pointless.

I agree... when the build becomes the new RTM MS will have to make that one the available via the media creation tool. Or.. heck they could just use the method they have for years and only have the base(10240) and everything else will come via an update.

I hope the do come out with an ISO.

I kind of messed up my last post. I edited accordingly.

    BunnyJ,

I have notice they do update at least the media creation tool (Not sure about the iso images) with the most current updates. I think they do that once a month.

Is there a way to tell what build/version you have on a dvd or a usb drive before installing windows 10?
