    Please make sure that the defaulth language is English before making posts into the thead:

    Open disk management > widen volume and status columns so that the contents in each row is seen (make sure that nothing is cut off) > post an image into the thread.

    Download and install MiniTool partition wizard: free edition
    Best Free Partition Manager for Windows | MiniTool Partition Free
    Post an image into the thread.

    Ope administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:
    1) sfc /scannow
    2) dism /online /cleanup-image /restorhealth
    3) chkdsk /scan
    4) Lpksetup /u
    5) bcdedit | find "osdevice"
    6) diskpart
    7) list disk
    8) select disk 0
    9) list volume
    10) list partition
    11) exit
    12) When these have completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into the thread
    13) In the right lower corner of the post click edit post
    14) past again into the thread over the prior paste
    15) in the right lower corner of the post click save changes
    16) run the DM log collector and post a zip into the thread:

    The Panther logs submitted were dated 5/22/2017.
    The windows update files were etl and could not be opened.


    Please look for Panther logs related to the December 2017 failure to upgrade.
    Download and install everything: voidtools
    By default the Panther logs are hidden so when using file explorer search they may not be found.
    There is an option to display the hidden files in the view menu.
    It is often easer to use Everything to search.

    Please post into the thread share links for the December failure to upgrade Panther logs.

    I have exactly the same issues with update from 1703 to 1709. I have tried all the options so far on offer in these treads.
    What I have observed is that the updates from MS have stopped with
    Update for Windows 10 Version 1703 for x64-based Systems (KB4033631)
    This update of 50 quality updates says it has installed successfully in the update history but in running the updtate the red error message can be seen. Once complete the Red error message that updates need to be downloadeed and applied is shown.
    What this seems to show to me is that MS have an issue with updates that occurred with the anniversary update.
    I have this error message on the panter directory when I tried to update the iso file I downloaded

    Reporting error event -> [0x8007001F, 0x50015]

    prior to this error there are warnings

    I am wondering if the 0x8007001f error is caused by the fact that driver TotRec8.sys in the High Definition Audio is unsigned.
    Can one delete this driver and then try the ISO file update?
    I see from MS that they are not allowing any unsigned drivers into the latest release but this unsigned driver is what you get when you update drivers for High Definition Audio. I wonder if this is what causing the glitch?

    Apparently TotRec8.sys is not supplied by MS with the HD Audio driver, but is part of 'Total Recorder 8' - and has been implicated in BSODs previously.

    Thanks for that. It gives me something definite to deal with.
    I now propose deleting the High Definition sound entries in Hardware, booting in safe mode and deleting this driver once its not associated with the soundcard.
    I shall then try the update again.
    If I succeed I shall update this thread.

    I have Total Recorder Version 8.6 Build 6575 [latest available] with that driver on my Win10 Home computer and having no issues with it.

    EDIT: More info. about the file, mine is version 8.6.0.0 and signed by Timestamp and dated 10/20/2015. I did forget to say I have the Pro
    paid-for version.

    I uninstalled Total Recorder 8.
    and still get [0x8007001F, 0x50015] so you are right it doesnt affect the issue.

    thank you for your reply.
    I got so fed up this afternoon that I tried the nuclear option of downloading a completely fresh operating system.
    That also failed so perhaps its just as well.
    I have to leave shortly for a gig and wont be back at this PC until tomorrow morning.
    I have used Everything and gathered what log files were available.
    Not all had data.
    I have made a 7zip archive - attached.
    It is not encrypted
