That would be version 1511 and build 10586 instead.

Thanks for the correction, Brink. Mine is installing features and drivers now. It says it's updating Windows. At least it doesn't say its upgrading, since I have already upgraded to Windows 10. I still have 2 other computers that need the latest Windows 10 Fall Update installed. I may wait and see if they have an update this afternoon, this evening, or tomorrow. If not, I will create an ISO to do update them then.

I made it! It seems buggy though. 10240 seemed to work better. They need to fix some more bugs.

 

OK, WU only notified me once and then would not work as I did not do it then. So I went to TechBench and did it that way. Anyway, did that method leave a large d/l somewhere? I would like to get rid of those file(s) if they are still there anywhere but I do not see anything.

 

Also, I read someplace that Microsoft will release such large "upgrades" atleast twice an year, and all new PCs will come with Windows 10's latest Build. As Microsoft won't release a new version of Windows after Windows 10, all of us who have upgraded to it (or install it later) will have to brace for such heavy downloads of about 3Gb each time such "upgrades" are released. It's become like the Java update, where each new release is actually a fresh Full Download. Good luck guys !

 

I have just finished the latest Win 10 update. It took a while on my measly "up to 4Mbps" connection. and used a fair amount of my monthly data allowance. Serves me right for living in Darkest Africa!

Good morning Shawn; I helped a friend update three laptops and we got it done and all is fine. they are on the rtm
build 10204. its now almost a week and they have not done the update for 10586.
Is there something we can do to get them? other updates have come in on the machines.

They could download an ISO or use MCT (Media Creation Tool), and manually updated to TH2. *Smile
