    i want to upgrade my current pc to ten (to stay with the times, also it has plenty of power) and the upgrade window says this. any idea how long i will have to wait, or why i have to.

    Receiving a message saying go to settings to activate Windows.

    Original Title : Free Upgrade Windows 10 Free Upgrade

    I received a message saying I was entitled to a free upgrade to windows 10. I clicked on the link and eventually installed the upgrade. I changed the hard drive to another computer and now I am receiving a message saying go to settings to activate windows.
    When I do that it askes for a product key. I put in the default one shown on Microsoft web site and it will not work. Help please.

    You don't have to wait.

    It's anybody's guess how long you'd have to wait if you chose to wait.

    You can ignore it and go get the ISO download yourself and put it on bootable media and install from it.
