Agreed then, OK we will have to wait on the OP to see if he`s using a 2.0 port, but I thought that using a wired usb keyboard in either a 2.0 or 3.0 with 10 would not matter, without knowing at least what MB he`s using it`s tough to give proper advice.

According to the specs of your board, and a picture it has a PS2 mouse port, have you tried that yet ?

Is the new keyboard a wired usb model ?

Awhile back you said, I want my Windows 7 back, was the PC we are trying to fix right now an upgrade from Windows 7 ? Did you clean install Windows 10 ?

I am just wondering why you are getting the choose another OS option in the recovery Environment ???

You have to give us more details.

Is this your board ? If not, a link to your board would do a world of good.

Do you have an external hard drive that is big enough to hold a backup image of the hard drive installed in the computer. If it were my computer, what I would do is make a bootable USB flash drive or DVD of Kyhi's recovery drive:
Windows 10 Recovery Tools - Bootable Rescue Disk - Windows 10 Forums

Boot the computer from that. Make a backup image of the installed hard drive/SSD to an external drive using the Macrium Reflect included in his recovery drive. Also, on the same external hard drive (if it is formatted NTFS) you can save the most recent Windows 10 ISO file:
Windows 10 ISO Download - Windows 10 Forums

While you are booted into Kyhi's recovery drive, you can save an image of your hard drive/SSD to the external hard drive using Macrium Reflect, then mount the Windows 10 ISO file (using the standard file manager in Kyhi's recovery drive), run setup.exe from the mounted ISO file and do a clean install of Windows 10.

After the clean install, install Macrium Reflect Free and you can mount the backup image that you saved and retrieve your data/document files from it - but you will have to re-install all of your apps/programs.

I highly recommend doing this as it will 99% likely solve your problem and give you a good, clean, solid base to progress forward from.

The other option you have is to also make Kyhi's recovery drive USB or DVD, boot the computer from it, use command line to set your installed Windows 10 to boot into safe mode, then uninstall the keyboard, mouse, and USB chipset drivers and hope the reinstalling them fixes the problem.

I do not have a backup HD.I have fixed plenty of computers but at this point I'm going to have to break down and take it somewhere to get it fixed.

It would cost you less to buy an external HDD than it would to take it to a repair shop and pay them to do it.
