Windows 10: Windows 10 login loop after the 1903 update

Hello. I'm having trouble with logging into my computer. The problem is: when I enter my PIN/password, the screen says "Welcome" and the circle next to the text is spinning endlessly. I've been waiting for 1 and a half hour but the screen still shows a spinning circle and it seems as if nothing progressed. There's no buttons I could click, so I have to hold the power button on my laptop keyboard for it to turn off, and then turn it on again to get to the login page. I've restarted my PC multiple times and I am losing my patience.

This all started after I installed the newest 1903 Windows 10 update using the update assistant - I haven't been able to log in since the update was ready to be installed (which was all done today).

I also tried to get my conputer into safe mode, and it worked. In safe mode, when I log into my account to unlock the computer, it only takes about a minute and I'm able to hop in. When I exited it though, I was hoping the issue would also go away in normal mode, but I was wrong and now here I am, looking for help on this endless login problem.

What should I do to stop the loop? I would appreciate any help.

Known issues for Windows 10 May 2019 Update version 1903


As far as Wifi any chance it is Qualcom inside USB adapter, if Qualcom then yes known issue.


I might create another user (Local) and when if try again see if this issue occurs on both users.

Would also suggest you run the first 5 steps in this tutorial to see if you have any corruption with current build.

Unable to login to the PC after updating to Windows 10 1903 update

I understand that you are facing issues while logging in to the PC after installing the latest Windows update. I appreciate your time and effort in trying to resolve the issue by performing certain steps to login.



To understand the issue better, please respond to the questions below:

1. Is the PC connected to university network/domain network?
   
2. Is the computer connected to the internet while you are trying to login to your computer?
   

If you are not connected to internet, please connect an Ethernet cable to the PC and then try logging.



However, I would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below and check if that helps.



Method 1:



Try booting the PC in to safe mode and check if you are able to login. Refer the article

Start your PC in safe mode in Windows 10



If the issue persists, please try the next method.



Method 2:



Since you are unable to login, I would suggest you to try rolling back the update and check. Refer the section
Go back to your previous version of Windows in the article
Recovery options in Windows 10



In addition, you can also try resetting the password for the university account and check if you are able to login. In order to reset the password please get in touch with the university.



If the issue persist, please get back to us with the result of troubleshooting steps to assist you further with the issue.

Latest windows 10 feature update 1903 problem with signing in to my microsft account

After I updated windows 10 1903 feature update today june 23 when I try to sign into my account it brings me right back to login screen i tried login in i few more times but it loops back to the login screen i also reset my microsft password and it still
