Windows 10: Windows 10 Pro three users different display timeouts

New computer with three users:

First user wants the display to stay on all of the time

Second user wants the display to turn off after 15 minutes

Third user has not expressed any preference


Is there a way to set a different display time-out period for each user?

Change Lock Screen Display Off Timeout in Windows 10


It won't send you to the lock screen when the timeout has been reached.

Console lock display off timeout is the amount of minutes Windows will wait idle with no activity while on the lock screen when a user locks the computer before timing out and automatically turning off the display.

You might see if these below may be turning off the display instead.

• Go to Settings.
• Select Personalization.
• Select Lock screen.
• Click Screen timeout settings.

After upgrade to 1909 display timeout not working

Also, we would suggest you to check in new user account. Follow the steps from the article

Create a local user or administrator account in Windows 10 to create a new user account and check if you are facing the same issue with the issue.
