Discus and support Windows 10 Start Menu goes away after a few hours. in Windows 10 Support to solve the problem; It wasn't meant to fix anything, but it does tend to show it's not an effect of an installed program or task schedule, assuming that you left your PC...     Windows 10 Start Menu goes away after a few hours.


    I didn't leave my PC for several hours in any of these states as that would be very inconvenient.
    I really don't mind restarting the PC every day as I have gotten used to it now. I just wish it would just work all the time.

    You could try this:

    Right click the Windows icon
    Windows 10 Start Menu goes away after a few hours. [​IMG]
    (aka Start button) on the Taskbar
    Select Command Prompt (Admin)

    Enter the following lines in the Command Prompt window:

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

    SFC /ScanNow
    If there are any errors on the screen after the commands run,
    Navigate to C:\Windows\Logs
    Right click the CBS folder
    Select Send to > Compressed (zip) folder
    answer yes to place on DesktopAttach the zip folder to your next post
    Full tutorials:

    Run SFC /ScanNOW in Command Prompt

    - you could have left it overnight...
    and to avoid it sleeping etc, download & run 'Don't Sleep' (free)

    If it didn't show the same problem that would suggest not a Windows corruption.

    It seems that the new Anniversary update fixed the Start Menu problem.

    Hasn't fixed it yet.

    I've just learned to live with it for the time being. Its to much of a hassle for me to fix and I've tried everything there is to try. Maybe Windows will roll out another update that will fix this.
