Windows 10: windows 10 store how do i stop it

howdy, yeah i done that, found all those sorts of settings, anything to turn off/disable its done but soon as i get some idle thats it a blue question mark appears in my dock and its top process in my process monitor

 

If this is possible on a local account

look for the option to auto update apps, try turning this off

Too me its sounding like its trying to update apps in the background, but because its a local account it wants you to log in, so the store opens
though not seen this before for people with local accounts

 

shouldn't be need on a clean install, but have you tried this

i originally did a refresh but that removed basically all installed programs file:///C:/Users/DREW/Desktop/Removed%20Applications.html so i formatted.
thing is on that link its to fix store and then run it again, i dont want to run it i WANT IT GONE

 

anything under scheduled tasks for store?

I know various things get started from here when machine is idle

 

nope, nothing to do with store scheduled.
when i search for anything to do with store theres nothing listed

 

out of ideas for now i'm afraid

Where did you get your install media from? What other programs and or utilities have your installed? Any custom toolbars etc?

 

Hi, as ive already mentioned i downloaded latest build from microsoft, hardly got any programs back in yet due to testing my issue, soon as pc idles thats when crap activates, just disabled store then photo then on 3rd i get an error which is

 

I have no idea what's going on. It's not a wide spread issue as far as I can tell. Your the only one with this issue that I know of. This will sound like grasping at straws but do you use a wireless keyboard or mouse, and is there another PC close by using a wireless mouse or keyboard. If you do have a wireless mouse are the batteries in good shape?

Hi, Ive got another bloomin issue now, every time i want to view a photo file i double click photo as usual but no picture then it disappears, does it every time i try, ran sfc /scannow all clean, checked all associated file types but cant view any pictures,



everything is just breaking as i go further on

 

any news on stopping apps activating and running in background when hitting idle time, my pc/laptop and sons pc are now fully windows 10 and all 3 are doing exact same thing, friends pc is doing same n he only found out due to a program he uses to control 2 monitors, apparently its an issue since windows 8, at least in win 8/8.1 store could be disabled but not in win 10. all those win 10 users out there that dont have anything that lets them no store/apps are activating/activated in background will never no they are running and how many more may/will activate and stay running in the background.
i also noticed windows update actually downloaded updates while i was gaming, wondered what the lag at the time was, noticed download speed on keyboard, on checking was windows updates, not good what so ever, should have same options as in previous versions of windows
