  1. Windows 10 Updates November 2019 - A disaster

And so the problems continue, and the latest Windows 10 update is causing huge problems. It has just taken 45 minutes for my laptop to log on, and connect to Edge.

Why does Microsoft persistently cause so many problems for everyday users?

Microsoft and Windows 10 is simply as disaster zone.

Microsoft are quite simply a corporate monstrosity and they do not listen to their everyday users.

I long for the day that an alternative Operating System comes along to end Microsoft's monopoly on the market, which it sees as a licence to create problems for users. People will leave in huge numbers if Microsoft does not resolve issues with their pathetic updates.

I am lucky that I still have an old windows 7 laptop which I can use for most things. It's a shame I won't be able to use this from January 2020 as the support is ending. At that point I will need a laptop, and obviously the Windows 10 laptop cannot be considered a reliable platform anymore. Maybe that will be the day I move to either Apple or Google Chromebook.

RIP Windows 7, and eventually I look forward to saying good riddance to Windows 10.

From another disgusted Windows 10 user.

    :)

    Spoiler Office 2019
Last year at Ignite, we announced Office 2019 – the next perpetual version of Office that includes apps (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and Skype for Business) and servers (including Exchange, SharePoint, and Skype for Business). Today we’re pleased to share the following updates:

    • Office 2019 will ship in H2 of 2018. Previews of the new apps and servers will start shipping in the second quarter of 2018.
    • Office 2019 apps will be supported on:
      • Any supported Windows 10 SAC release
      • Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2018
      • The next LTSC release of Windows Server
    • The Office 2019 client apps will be released with Click-to-Run installation technology only. We will not provide MSI as a deployment methodology for Office 2019 clients. We will continue to provide MSI for Office Server products.
