    Windows 10 version 1903 file share access issues


    Hello,


    I am trying to access a file share an am having some issues. My laptop (windows 10 v 1803) will connect over wifi or wifi with vpn but my desktop (windows 10 v 1903) and laptop wont connect with Ethernet even though I have internet access. I reverted the laptop to 1803 after upgrading to 1903 due to the wifi no longer working in 1903.


    The common errors I get are "unspecified error" or "file location not found". Ive confirmed that I do have access to the folder, clock is synced, drivers are up to date, sharing settings have all be messed with, nothing seems to fix the issue.


    Side note, the computer that hosts the share is NOT something I have access to.


    Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    Not listed in the Known.

    Known issues for Windows 10 May 2019 Update version 1903


    As far as Wifi any chance it is Qualcom inside USB adapter, if Qualcom then yes known issue.


    I might create another user (Local) and when if try again see if this issue occurs on both users.

    Would also suggest you run the first 5 steps in this tutorial to see if you have any corruption with current build.

    Use DISM to Repair Windows 10 Image

    There are several reasons why does other computers are unable to access your file from Windows 10. To make sure where this issue is coming from, we suggest that you run the built-in HomeGroup troubleshooter. Kindly follow the steps below:

    • Type troubleshooting on the Windows search box.
    • Click on View all which is located on the left pane.
    • Choose Home group and then Shared Folders.
    • Follow the on screen steps.

    Let us know the results from the troubleshooter.
