Windows 10: Windows Mobile 10 - 950 XL - Latest Update

Hi:

Ever since the October 2019 windows mobile update my Bluetooth stopped working - It no longer has the toggle ON/OFF button and I am unable to connect via bluetooth - I looked at the registry

SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ActionCenter\Quick Actions\All\SystemSettings_Device_BluetoothQuickAction

Type is set to 0 - I am unable to change it to 1

Is there a way to fix this? Can someone help?

New firmware update for dual-sim Lumia 950 and 950 XL

Microsoft is pushing out a brand new firmware update for dual-sim Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL handsets right now. There’s not much known about the firmware update just yet as the Redmond giant hasn’t posted a changelog, but it’s likely this new firmware update will improve overall system stability and performance.

First spotted by a user on Reddit, the firmware update version number is 01078.00038.16025.39020. The update also appears to be only available for dual-sim variant 950’s, so if you’re using a single-sim Lumia 950 or 950 XL this update is not for you, not yet at least.

New firmware update for Lumia 950/950 XL: 01078.00027.15506.020xx

Hey,

We have started rolling out a new firmware update for Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL: 01078.00027.15506.020xx. Key highlights include:

Stability and performance improvements.

Improvements for SD memory card support.

Improvements for automatic display brightness settings.

Fix for a camera problem that was causing noisy images in low-light conditions for some users.

Fix for a 4K video problem that was causing stripes to show up while playing back recorded videos for some users.

The update should be already available for many of the users and rollouts will continue gradually. Availability of the update may depend on your network service provider.

Windows 10 is updating continuously, so make sure you follow all the update notifications that appear on your phone. To check for updates, you can also tap Settings > Update & security > Phone update > Check for updates. For detailed update instructions, see.

Verizon Says MS Never Wanted Them to Sell the Lumia 950 and 950 XL

The new Lumia models remain AT&T exclusives

With the launch of Microsoft’s latest Windows 10 Mobile flagship handsets, the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL, came a flurry of controversy surrounding the availability of both devices. We learned in October that both new flagship devices would be exclusive to AT&T, which caused people to assume that Verizon and T-Mobile weren’t interested in carrying Microsoft’s latest Windows 10 Mobile smartphones.

One brave soul filed an FCC complaint about Verizon “blocking” the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL from their network, and she received a response from Verizon’s Consumer Inquiries & Complaints Division. Turns out, Verizon was never approached by Microsoft to have the Lumia 950 or Lumia 950 XL on the Verizon network.
