Windows 10: Windows store will not open

I am having issues with the windows store in windows 10. It will not open and when it did a few days ago it would not download anything. I have a Compaq computer and downloaded windows 10 on a computer running windows 7 home edition. Thanks

Msft. Store will not open, pictures (jpg) will not open, says they will by opened by "photo".

After attempting DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth, I received the following message.

not a valid win32 application

Did a repair install of windows 10 and problem is resolved.

Unfortunately none of the above worked.

 

Windows Store is (as far as I recall) only working in Windows 8 or above.
And Only if automatic updates are activated.

I am running windows 10 now and have windows update set to update automatically. I still can't get windows store to work. Do you have any other ideas I might try? I appreciate your help big time.

 

Did you receive and install, last cumulative update (KB3081438) ? It's aid to fix Store problems.

You might also see if re-registering the Store may help. In addition, make sure that you have the correct time zone, and data and time set.

Yes, I did receive the cumulative update and did download and install it but.....I'm still having the problem, can't open the store at all, it just blinks.

 

Exact same problem here. I have that windows update installed, too, and set to automatic updates.
