    2 two accounts on Microsoft

    Hello Community;

    I just got a new HP desktop PC, this is the first time using after initial set up. The following situation has bugged me before on my OLD PC but now that this is a brand new PC I would like to eliminate the following sign on procedure.

    When I first turn the PC on, a window comes up that ask for my password or my pin number to log on to the PC to bring up my windows 10 Home desktop page. When the sign on page comes up, down in the bottom left corner of the screen there are 2 two sign on icons there, the one with my picture is my administrators account, the other on that has the WIDGIT for a picture, is just another account, "that I probably set up a long time ago". I would like to delete that account and just keep the one with my PICTURE as the primary and the only Microsoft PC log on account .

    I am attaching a couple of Photos, ( I could not get screenshots ) in hopes that someone might just have the answer and the solution for my dilemma.

    My PC: is an HP "Compaq Elite 8200 small frame factor with an OS of Windows 10 Home edition.

    Thanks for reading and possible solution

    Change Microsoft Account Details in Administrator Account

    Hi Daryl, welcome to the Ten Forums.

    It's quite easy in fact, simply switch the account in question first to a local account, then switch back to a Microsoft account, this time using your wife's MS account credentials.

    Tutorials:
    Notice that before doing this you need to remove the new additional MS account on the PC, the one you created with her credentials. Windows allows only one user account for each email address, if the new account exists you cannot switch the original administrator account to an MS account using the same email address. Remove account

    I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
    To delete an account, follow these steps:
    1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
    2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:
      Code:
      net user test /del
