Windows 10: Airplane mode with Bluetooth ON?

Is there a way to keep Bluetooth on in the airplane mode? My application is on a cruise ship where I would like to easily turn WiFi off using the convenient airplane mode selection and leave Bluetooth on for my mouse on my Venue 10 tablet.

I have this airplane mode problem. The button shows airplane mode active in the status display after restarts, even though it was turned off when the computer was shut down.

The thing is that airplane mode should turn off Bluetooth and wifi, right?; if it really were active. But they are both still on. If I manually turn off airplane mode, Bluetooth and wifi go off for a few seconds, but then come back on. At that point, the
airplane mode icon is not active (turned off). After reboot, the airplane mode button comes back on. But, I think the problem is that airplane mode is really
not on; just the button - erroneously.

My Bluetooth Support Service was set to Manual (Triggered) and off so I changed the settings as described. That didn't help even through a couple of reboots. After I ran the Bluetooth troubleshooter in Settings | Update & Security | Troubleshoot | Bluetooth
and that reported that there wasn't Bluetooth in the system, I rebooted and double-checked in my BIOS. Bluetooth was there and enabled (duh, since it was working yesterday). I started Windows back up and then, on a whim, turned ON Airplane Mode and then
turned OFF Airplane Mode. Suddenly the Bluetooth stuff all showed up (in Action Center, icon in System Tray, in Airplane Mode screen, etc.) and started working normally.

Yes. When airplane mode is turned on, you'll still be able to turn on or off your individual Bluetooth and wireless devices.

Yes you can use that to turn Bluetooth back on when in the Airplane mode. However, if you cycle the Airplane mode off and back on it turns the Bluetooth off again. So its not a "setup" function it is an operational function. I'm looking for a setup where the Bluetooth is always on.

 

I suppose that you could turn on/off wireless instead of Airplane mode as a workaround to always have Bluetooth left turned on.

Haven't tried Airplane Mode and keeping Bluetooth on with my 2 Dell and 1 HP Notebooks but do know if I turn off the Wi-Fi adapter that the Bluetooth is also off, seems to be part and parcel for the 2 functions. I can have Wi-Fi off and Bluetooth on with an older Notebook but it has separate USB dongles, built-in Wi-Fi died. Also seems that my MacBook Pro has separate functions.
