    That is the first thing I do after clean install. I always setup using offline account and by configuring the IP settings I get 2 things done at same time:

    • Make sure I am on Fast Ring
    • Turn my offline account into an online account, that causes all my settings to update to MY defaults and lets me login to any MS services without retyping any credentials.

    Advanced settings under Windows update are quite complex now. They even include Activity monitor, if one selects to update from different sources.

    Has this been here before?

    Yeah, it's all part of Delivery Optimization. That reminds me that I needed to do a tutorial specifically for "Activity Monitor". Thank you for the reminder. *Smile

    Even upgrading from a clean installed 16288 to16291in a VM took over 3 hours. It used to take about an hour in install.esd days. Given UUP is supposed to reduce changes needed, I guess there is truth in saying "Less is More"!
