    boot order windows 10

    Over the past week or so. I've run into a problem that the system on reboot hangs on loading the operating system. The fix
    for this issue is to boot the system and hitting the F12 key. This brings up the change boot order menu. Then you just tell it to boot from the first disk and it boots up.

    Thanks

  2. Windows 10 updates keep changing my boot drive so pc will not start

    Sounds like it would help to know what the manufacturer says about this scenario. E.g. it looks normal to me to have a feature which says "change the boot order temporarily", so then if you wanted it to be changed permanently you would have to find a different
    one. UEFI perhaps?

    (BING suggested search for

    uefi boot order windows 10

    )

    Then if that works, see what you can do in there about changing your boot order permanently. As I indicated the procedure may depend on your machine

    Here's a sample

    You have to use a system setup utility to change boot order permanently.

    Sounds like something messed up the boot order in bios. Why not just set the permanent boot order in bios to match what you select with F12? If you post a screenshot of disk management, we might be able to offer further clarification. Make sure to expand the columns so that we can read the entire contents...

    I can live with this problem. It is the least of the problems I've had with windows 10.

    Thanks

    That's BIOS problem, just change to that disk as default BOOT device or you can switch cables to disks, it's very easy in desktops.
