Windows 10: BSOD on startup, successful startup after reboot

Hi,

I've been having this issue with Windows 10. Ever since I upgrade to Windows 10 my laptop would crash every time it tried to resume from sleep. Also recently every time I boot the laptop it crashed with error: INACCESSIBLE BOOT DEVICE and reboot which then takes me to the login screen.

I can't seem to find whats causing this issue, I've tried disabling all non windows related startup items but the issue still persist.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED Windows 10

Hi,

I am getting the same BSOD and the system keep rebooting after Win 10 upgrade from Win 7 on the 1st startup. It says "Loading files ...... " and as soon as the Win logo appear on screen the BSOB pop up with "SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED" error and
goes into a indefinite reboot cycle.

I could not get into safe mode or any recovery options stated in the above links and the so-call auto roll back after several failed startup did not work.

Would appreciate if you can share how you get out of the BSOD reboot on startup and roll back to Win 7.

Further to last post, I went into setup on startup and disabled Secure Boot, then on startup repeated the testsigning off & it was successful. However, on reboot, ended up with the Test screen. HELP.

 

Please uninstall everything of Nvidia using Display Driver Uninstaller and install new drivers from Lenovo. Be sure the clean install box is checked and only install the Graphics driver and the PhysX driver, you can use this tutorial for the installation part *Arrow NVIDIA Drivers - Avoid Problems - Windows 7 Help Forums










Diagnostic Test

DRIVER VERIFIER


Warning Please make a backup of your important files and get your rescue media or create one.
Please create a restore point.
Please follow this tutorial to run driver verifier.

Driver verifier stresses your drivers and will crash your pc if any driver fails due to a violation.

Driver verifier should be performed for a max of 48 hours, or when you have a bluescreen, whatever comes first.

If driver verifier has found a violation and you can't get back into windows normally, try to boot into safe mode and reset in safe mode driver verifier, or in the troubleshooting options open command prompt and type verifier /reset.



Note Your system will act very sluggishly while driver verifier is enabled, this is normal as your drivers will be being subjected to heavy testing in order to make them crash.

 

After countless restarts I was finally able to boot in safe mode. The driver verifier caused new issues (disabling it through command prompt or performing system restore didn't help either).

I also tried running sfc /scannow, here are the results:

also the previous BSOD was found to be caused from Logitech drivers which I have removed, but another issue arises, which is said from memory corruption, I have no idea what is causing this, some insights would be greatly appreciated. New BSODs logs attached below.

The latest zip was blank.

Make sure that you are not on a metered connection.

Please open administrative command prompt and type:
1) dism /online /cleanup-image /checkhealth
2) dism /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth
3) dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

4) post the results into the thread.
5) attempt to post a new zip into the thread once the dism commands display no integrity violations or the restorehealth command completes successfully:

Please include anything attached to the computer by wireless or wired:
mouse, keyboard, joystik, printer, headset, xbox, etc.

Which hardware item were you referring to that was uninstalled that was Logitech?
Do you remember how you uninstalled it?

 

There has been a BIOS update for your IdeaPad and it would be worth updating it:

Also note that Driver Verifier is still active - refer back to the tutorial provided by axe0 to see all the different ways of disabling it.

 

Please try following command in an admin command prompt and post a screenshot of the result.

I have ran "verifier /reset" on command prompt and it didn't show anything enabled. Is there other way to check whether it is still running? I will checkout the BIOS update, thanks!

I'm currently running "dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth" as suggested, seems to take a long time so I'm leaving it overnight.

Regarding the Logitech driver removed, I ran the uninstaller from add-remove program and features.

I've also re-attached the BSOD zip file, seems like the previous one didn't zip properly from the DMCollector.

You were right, one of the module is still running, it was cm_km.sys, which after googling leads to Kaspersky Crypto Module http://www.freefixer.com/library/file/cm_km.sys-199061/ which I have removed long time ago, any idea how to get rid of this leftover? Details can be found on the attachment below.

Regarding the DISM result, it showed failure at 97%, logs can also be found on the zip file below.

For now I have removed the verifier on the cm_km.sys.
