Windows 10: BSOD when using p3d v4 flight simulator no error codes

When was the last time you had a bsod?

1) In the left lower corner type system > open system control panel > on the left pane click advanced system settings > in startup and recovery click settings > post an image into the thread

2) Open Ccleaner > click windows tab > scroll to system and advance > post an image into the thread

3) Open device manager > click view > show hidden devices > expand all rows > look for any yellow triangles with black exclamation marks or unknown devices > post images into the thread.

4) The Windows version is 14393. Are you able to upgrade? or where there errors?

 

My problem is that computer will just reboot when it crashes, there is no windows message.
I get a black screen not a blue one, sorry if there was a confusion there.
I counld not see anything in device manager with a yellow triangle, only thing that looks out of the ordinary I have posted, Many thanks.
I have not has a black screen for about 2 weeks now,and I only get it when using p3d v4 flight simulator.

 

1) In startup and recovery > system failure > un-check automatically restart
2) Ccleaner > click on the top left box > cleaner > click on windows column > move the scroll bar so that in view are each system and advanced > post an image into the thread displaying the rows with and without boxes checked
3) In device manager there are yellow icons displaying a triangle with black exclamation mark and another yellow icon displaying a chip. Please expand each display adapters, IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers, and programming support to make sure which yellow icon is displayed.
4) There was a bsod on 9/14/2017. Bugcheck 139. Please find and post a one drive or drop box share link for the memory dump file: %SystemRoot%\MEMORY.DMP or C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP
Use file explorer > this PC > local C: drive > right upper corner search enter each of the above to find results.
5) Download and install Macrium:
Macrium Software | Macrium Reflect Free
6) Make backup image of the drives and place the backup images on another drive or into the cloud.
7) Make a brand new restore point.
8) Create a bootable windows 10 iso:

9) Perform an in place upgrade repair:

10) Choose one of the temperature monitoring software applications: Speecy, HW monitor, Speed fan:Speccy - Free Download - Piriform: Speccy - System Information - Free Download

11) Read these links
Furmark GPU stress test: FurMark - GPU Stress Test Performance Maintenance Tutorials
Prime95 CPU stress test: Prime95 - Stress Test Your CPU Performance Maintenance Tutorials
12) When performing the stress testing plan to stress test the GPU for 45 minutes to 1 hour and monitor for temperature, freezing, and the display for artifacts. Abort the testing for any problems as per the link.
Plan to test the CPU for 3 hours or more and again monitor for temperature and abort as per the link.
Post images of the tests into the thread.
13) Check PSU voltages in BIOS (Use a camera to take pictures and post images into the thread)
What are the BIOS 3.3, 5 and 12 voltage values? What are the CPU voltage and frequency?
14) Set up the display with one of the temperature monitoring software applications and start playing p3d v4 flight simulator. Monitor the temperatures while playing. Report into the thread maximum temperatures for GPU and CPU.

thanks for posting this, I will make a start,
I already use hw monitor to check temperatures, my gpu does not go above 82c and cpu around 65c
I will do as stated in your thread and start at the top and work down.
Took me a while to do the first task, uncheck automaticly restart on system failure, but I think that is now done.

The box for memory dumps is checked. So Ccleaner deleted the dump file created on 9/17/2017. Make sure that this box is unchecked.
If there are any future bsod the mini dump and memory dump files should now be maintained.

In the left lower corner search type clean > open disk cleanup > click OK for the windows drive > make sure that these boxes are un-checked:
System error memory dump files
System created Windows errors reporting

After the startup and recovery changes the computer should be rebooted to make sure these changes are completed.

 

devise manager, I do not see any icons displaying what you are saying?

 

Click view > show hidden devices
expand each of these:
a) display adapters
b) IDE ATA/ATAPI
c) programming support
When viewing device manager it was once easy to view problems by looking for any yellow icons.
There is a chip icon that is also yellow.
The problematic yellow icon is the triangular one with the black exclamation mark.
The one that is normal is the yellow square with a chip.
As long as there are no yellow triangles with black exclamation marks then there are no marked problem devices.
If there are problem devices you will then want to troubleshoot them.

 

Just done a quick flight this evening to monitor temps, there was no problems.
